Hey!! Don't let the name fool you! You're at the right
place and exactly where you want to be if you are
looking for the best rock on the Internet. However, this
is not a commercial radio station playing commercial
music. This is an independent station broadcasting
from the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska.
Tundra Trash Radio was voted Best Metal Station for
2004 and is a venue to some of the best independent
artists you will ever hear!. You'll only hear tunes that
meet our QUALITY head banging checks. If it doesn't
work for us, we won't bother putting it on the station.
You have our word on that.
While we do play the occasional "labeled" artist, that is
not our primary focus. We believe commercial radio is
in a sorry state these days with large corporations
playing "music for the masses" leaving independent
and local acts with no possibility of any airplay.
Whether recorded in a home studio or in a professional
studio, bands spend thousands of dollars and countless
hours recording their songs, not to mention the hours
writing them in the first place. So much time and
money, out of their own pockets for amazing music!!
We believe we need to support independent artists to
help restore balance and possibly even integrity back
into the music industry at large. We want to help those
artists be heard. Independent music is the heart and
soul of creativity. It needs all the support it can get and
since we are not a commercial station, we have the
freedom to play the music that we believe in. We think
that rocks harder!
There is no way we can compete with the big radio
stations. However, If you like our music and believe
it's worthy of wider attention, you can make a huge
difference in helping us reach a wider audience. Please,
